Front Axles and Related Parts
The “zero scrub” front axle is designed so that the front wheels, while turning,
arc in a flat movement essentially eliminating the up and down movements of the
chassis as the wheels turn, as seen with standard steering. The system works by
placing the center of the tire assembly along the centerline of the king pin
bolt. In order to achieve this, a reversible wheel hub is used along with some
“non standard offset wheels. The right front wheel, for a 5.5 or 6” tire,
consist of a 6x4 inner half and a 6x2 outer half. For the system to work as it
has been designed to a 6” diameter wheel is needed on the right side. The left
front assembly consist of a 5x2 inner half and a 5x3 outer half, for a 5x5 tire.
